About Gus Leen

Gus is a recent Industrial Design graduate from Massey University of Wellington. Gus manufactures his innovative furniture and lighting products from his design workshop and studio, Form 53, in Timaru.

His previous experience working for both an electrician and a joiner has allowed him to incorporate unique features into his bespoke designs.

Gus’s designs are available to order online, right here on our website. Throughout New Zealand, Form 53’s designs are available to view and purchase from a wide range of stockists, annual art shows, and interior design studios.

Sustainability is at the forefront of the design & manufacturing process. Each material is handpicked to ensure our products are manufactured from the best available. As our products are built to last, we use sustainable materials such as native New Zealand timbers and naturally finished Bamboo plywood to manufacture our designs. Recyclable materials in today's world play a vital role in our future. By manufacturing our products from renewable materials, we aim to reduce the effect that the current throwaway society has on the environment.

Based in Timaru, South Canterbury, our products are designed and manufactured locally. Our keeping it local approach aims to support smaller retailers within the community.
